Meet our team robots
This is our robot for the 2020-2021 season so far. The name of the robot is Roach. Roach currently has a GoBilda drive base, a claw to pick up the wobble goal, an intake and shooter.
To the right is an image of Wall-E, our robot for the 2019-2020 season. Wall-E advanced to the Austin Metro League. Wall-E is equipped with a modular drive base that uses mecanum wheels. The intake in the front has arms that are retractable so that he can fit within the sizing box, and has a smaller set of wheels to absorb the block where the claw can grab it. Wall-E also has a lift and extension in the back of the robot to lift and place blocks. Attached to this lift is a claw that fits inside the robot to pick up the block and the deposits it on the foundation. Wall-E uses Vuforia to recognize and pick up blocks during autonomous.
